It was in 1968 when Caparo Tubes started life from a humble birth in a little three-man factory in Huntingdon. Today the company is a world player in the manufacturing of cold formed tube.
JOINING FORCES
Reorganisation within Caparo Group Ltd has created Caparo Tubes Ltd with its three manufacturing divisions within the UK - Walsall Division, Tredegar Division and Warboys in Cambridgeshire.
Combined capacity of these three plants is in excess of 180,000 tonnes and with the additional support from our American sister company "The Bull Moose Tube Co." actual output approaches 600,000 tonnes per annum.
Walsall Division previously known as Barton Division, manufactures high quality precision tube in round, square, rectangular and oval sections. Tredegar Division by contrast (previously known as NGT), concentrates on the volume markets for structural hollow sections and tubes for low-pressure gas/liquid applications. The Tredegar division is also equipped with spiral welding facilities for the production of large diameter pipe. To complete the portfolio Bull Moose Tubes provide large structural hollow sections, which extends the product range up to 300mm Square and 400 x 200mm rectangles in thickness's upto 16mm.
