The Swiss company ZWAHLEN & MAYR has been founded in 1881 and now is publicly quoted on the Geneva Stock Exchange. In 1978 it acquired two production lines for the tubes manufacturing, in order to diversify its main activity: design, build and assembly of structural steelworks.
At present the plant based in Aigle is specialised in the production of welded stainless steel and welded stainless steel re-drawn precision tubes.
The welded tubes are destined to be used in the most critical areas of fundamental plants such as conventional and nuclear power stations, petroleum refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants and sugar mills. ZM Tubes is specialised for the heat exchanger tubes and is able to produce up to 30 meters length straight or U-bent tubes. Austenitic, superaustenitic and high nickel alloys materials are part of the production range.
The welded redrawn tubes are mainly used in the automotive, chemical and automation industries. After welding these tubes are cold redrawn to meet the specification of our customers. Austenitic and high nickel alloys materials are part of the production range.
