Polypipe, one of Europe’s biggest manufacturers of plastic pipe systems, reported record half year results but said it remains alert to uncertainties caused by the recent General Election and the Brexit negotiations.

Morgan County, Alabama, USA - Wolverine Tube Inc. plans to resume manufacturing at its plant in Morgan County after a nearly decade-long hiatus. Mark Brown, corporate engineering manager for Wolverine, said Wednesday the plant is slated to resume operations by the end of the year, this time manufacturing aluminum components instead of copper tube.

The move is expected to bring about 100 jobs to the plant on Market Street Northeast — just outside the Decatur city limits — by the end of 2018 and 250 jobs within three years, Brown said. Total payroll ...

A TUBE manufacturer is celebrating half a century in business and continued growth.

Family-owned Wells Spiral Tubes Ltd has carried out extensive improvements and invested in new machinery at its Airedale Road, Keighley, base, and it is adding to its current 24-strong workforce.

TMK IPSCO plans to create 168 jobs by end of the year

Nationwide, TMK IPSCO is bringing back more than 1,000 jobs in Iowa, Kentucky, Arkansas and Oklahoma, Mastervich said.

CATOOSA — When the price of oil nosedived, one of this area’s casualties was TMK IPSCO, which idled its plant in September 2015.

"There was really no business for us," said Joel Mastervich, vice president and chief operating officer of the company, which does welding, heat-treating and threading on pipes used in drilling operations. "We had to make tough decisions back then. So we did."
